The 3rd Sustainable Textile and Fashion Congress (STFC) will hold Day 1 with sessions categorized by time zones. In Session 1A (09:30-11:00 GMT), chaired by Dr. Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem, various speakers will present on sustainability in the textile industry. Dr. Michael Klode will discuss supply chain due diligence and sustainability in Bangladesh. Cristina Luján-Ornelas will present SATIN, a sustainability assessment tool for the textile industry, while Supawinee Charungkiattikul and Prof. Dr. Eakachat Joneurairatana will focus on the revival of Thailand's textile traditions. Session 1B (11:00-12:30 GMT), chaired by Prof. Dr. Bastian Quattelbaum, will feature presentations on sustainable consumer behavior and the impact of global clothing retailers' unfair practices on Bangladeshi suppliers during Covid-19. Additionally, Dr. Girija Jha will discuss laser processing of denim as a sustainable alternative. Session 1C (13:30-15:00 GMT), chaired by Dr. Mazed Islam, will include presentations on circular apparel, regulation for promoting a circular economy in fashion, climate change-related health and safety risks to workers in Sri Lankan apparel firms, and investigating the consumer behavior of Bangladeshi college students towards sustainable apparel labels.

The 3rd Sustainable Textile and Fashion Congress (STFC) will hold Day 2 with various sessions addressing various aspects of sustainability in the textile industry. In Session 2A (09:30-11:00 GMT), chaired by Dr. Rishad Rayyaan from the University of Leeds, Mariella Noto, Senior Implementation Manager of the Roadmap to Zero Programme, will discuss the transformative impact of collective action in the industry. Tulin Dzhengiz, Andra Riandita, and Anders Broström from Manchester Metropolitan University will also discuss the configurations of sustainability-oriented textile partnerships. Session 2B (11:00-12:30 GMT), chaired by Dr. Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem of Manchester Metropolitan University, will include presentations on sustainable industrial design of textile structures for composites by Dr. Tsegaye Lemmi, Marcin Barburski, and Nawar Kadi. Hanieh Choopani, Dr. Anne-Marie Grundmeier, and Martina Glomb will explore the facilitation practices of implementing education for sustainable development in fashion design studies in Germany and Iran. Prof. Muhammad Mohsin from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore will also present on textile sustainability through agriculture waste recycling. Additionally, Hilde Heim and Julie Hodson will introduce FASHTRAX.org, a knowledge exchange platform for digitizing supply chain transparency.
